Appearance
Paisley is a very young looking thirty, she has long curly blond hair that she plays with an awful lot, she likes to try different lengths and styles and what ever makes her feel more...'in with the crowd'. Since a very young age she has had a fetish for playing with her image.
HEAD: Paisley is a strange looking beauty, she has naturally dark hair but dyes it depending on what is in, in the season, she loves to wear lots of make up more for the fact that it hides her wrinkles and old acne marks then actually beautifying her. Under the layers of make up she has years of scars and marks, blotches, she regrets all the things she did to her skin at a young age but knows that she cant take it back, even if she uses a disillusionment charm. She has grey/blue eyes that seem to hide some sort of insincerity behind them, a smile that can tell a thousand stories. Her lips are small and often pursed when she is in thought or at work, she has an extra toe that not too many people get to see and webbed feet that she is highly embarrassed about. She is slim but well proportioned.
BODY: She is very short for her age and at times she thinks she is shrinking as the years go by, she is well proportioned in both weight and distribution, this isnt to say that she is skinny or fat but she has had one child and didnt do much work post pregnancy to get rid of the fat, it has taken her so long to get back to a normal weight that she has forgotten how small she was in her younger days. She has long skinny fingers that almost fit the typical 'witch' stereotype, she also has broad shoulders and long arms. Her legs are a little wider from the hip to the knee, she has scars and stretch marks all over the place but for some reason she doesnt see all her imperfections as such but she does get insecure, she tries hard to hide it but from time to time she gets down on it.
Personality
Paisley is your typical girly girl with the heart on an ice elf, her exterior portrays skin deep beauty and confidence but deep inside is someone searching for where she belongs and what she truly wants to do! She is assertive and book smart and knows what she is talking about, if there is a fact she dosent know she will research it until its drummed into her brain! She has to know everything its essential to her succeeding in life and day to day drama. She has a very temperamental side that is quite easy to find if you scratch below the surface, at certain times she can be impossible to deal with and will often become more recluse if anything drags on. To a persons face she is happy and smiley especially if it is a person high up on the corporate ladder. When it comes to her daughter she is extremely competitive, because of her insecurities she knows that her daughter can achieve much more then she ever could and therefore it drives her to push her daughter further then she ever did herself.
She is a driven person and loves to get what she wants though she may come off as stand off-ish she doesnt always meant to be. There is something insincere about her that makes people second guess her loyalty as well as her personality but again it is a product of her development as a child. Because she was so neglected as a child she lavishes other people and students with attention that may not always be good but is something she thinks they deserve. She encourages bad behavior in some people and angelic behavior in others, she wont hesitate to challenge anyone that questions not only her ability to teach but anything that she thinks is correct.
Brief History
Paisley was a bad student from third to fifth year but when she received her OWL scores it woke her up to the fact that she couldnt just rest on her Ravenclaw butt and rely on that to get her through, shes always had a fascination with numbers and as a result she buckled down and passed her NEWTS. When she left school she moved from Wales to London to pursue a career in anything to do with numbers. She worked as a bank assistant, in a book shop, in a cafe, anywhere she could get work she worked. When she met a man much older then herself who employed her as an illegal curse breaker she found out months later that she was pregnant to him, after he disappeared with the money they earned together.
She was hurt, alone and about to have a child so she went back to where she knew she was safe and that was to her parents, after her daughter was born she went back to her partying antics and left her parents to raise Winter. She later went to university to study in Arithmancy and get her degree, while at university she also worked as a novice curse breaker at Gringotts and later promoted to second curse breaker. Paisley believes that she would be a great asset to the school of Hogwarts and has applied as the Professor of Arithmancy.
Roleplay Sample
Sitting in her small room planning the next lesson Paisley looked through her notes and books for the number six, in the short time she had been at Hogwarts some, few students had surprised her with their aptitude for Arithmancy, it seemed that students these days were increasingly and more to the point, focusing, on the topic. For her she knew it took some time to get her head around the whole numbers thing.
Thinking back to the lesson she had on the Agrippan and Chaldean number charts, she had been told many times that it was a waste of time teaching anyone Arithmancy as the whole concept of it was simply boring. Looking back at the answers students gave she decided to calculate her name again, though she had done so many times before she wanted to see if anything had changed.

It always turned out to be the number six, she knew that in Chinese Numerology and Arithmancy it was lucky but in Western Arithmancy it meant responsibility and reaction something that reflected the way she taught and mentored, it did not matter who the student was that came to her with what problem she was always there to support and guide them through, of course she did the right thing by them! It was her job of course. "Now.....i think the next lesson should be on Thelema, students should learn the significance of it." She mused to herself quietly.
As soon as her mind set on a direction for her next lesson she began to write, What formed in the year 1904 as a consequent result of the number 93? The two phrases on which they abide by and the magick rituals that tie into both astronomy and core practices of the Thelemites. It seemed an awful lot for one class, but the senior class she had in mind were one of the worst she had seen in some time and needed to be taught well, it was a topic that held great mysticism and intrigue for her and she hoped her students would feel the same.
